I traveled to Argentina and Chile with two different programs that I highly recommend.

The Cultural Vistas Fellowship affords internships abroad to Argentina, Germany, or Hong Kong to sophomore or junior college students who have not previously had the opportunity to study or work abroad. The program sets up fellows with a personalized, unpaid internship according to areas of study and interests. The Fellowship includes housing and airfare. The program also includes a pre-departure orientation and reentry session in New York City. It is a wonderful program that provides step-by-step guidance. The School for International Training (SIT) program “Chile: Comparative Education and Social Change” aligns with SIT’s goal for experiential and immersive learning. The programs consist of three phases: classes, excursions, and an Internship or Independent Study Project. It is an intensive program with a highly organized schedule that includes homestays, seminars, visiting schools, and opportunities to teach. Excursions include Valparaíso, Temuco, and Buenos Aires, Argentina. Scholarships are available by sending in the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). It is a rigorous program, but very rewarding and well worth it. For more information on the program, visit their website. https://studyabroad.sit.edu/programs/semester/spring-2020/cik/
